THE SINGLE BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE

She didn’t set out to change her life.
She just wanted a good cocktail, something grilled, and a break from her dating app graveyard and another night of (sob) leftovers. So she walked into OCEANOS ... and everything changed.
At first, she hesitated. Tables were full. Couples were laughing. Groups clinking glasses. But then she saw it... the bar.
That’s right. The bar. Not a table. Not one of the private rooms (although, yes, the patio Waterfalls is swoon-worthy). The bar. glowing like a secret. A row of polished stools, soft lighting, and a vibe that felt like a welcome. She took a breath. It felt so ... right.
Walking closer... she was immediately greeted by the heart-stopping smile of Manny, the bartender with a shaker shake that could stop traffic
“Sit wherever you want, gorgeous,” he said. And so she did. Right in the center. Little did she know she was about to pick the single best seat in the whole restaurant that night. Front-row seat to the night’s most delicious show.
THE FOOD?
(hint... OCEANOS BAR is a hot spot for foodies)
She had heard about the hand-picked extra select oysters OCEANOS is famous for. So, of course... (when in Rome..) Manny magically produced a plump oyster sampler plate before her. And the taste? oyster paradise, ice-kissed like it had just been plucked by Poseidon himself.
Then came the grilled octopus she had fantasized about. Grilled to Gordon Ramsay perfection: caramelized char on the outside, butter-soft center, bathed in olive oil like it just returned from a Greek Isle vacation.
THE COCKTAILS?
Dangerous . in the Best of ways.
One sip of her Naked in Cancun & she was texting her group chat:
“This drink tastes like summer made out with me.”
Two sips later:
“ I’m marrying this bartender.”
THE REVELATION?
Epic.
Somewhere between her fourth oyster and her second cocktail, she sat back, taking in the room, the laughter, the sights, the sizzle, the smells, the comfort... and realized something wild:
she was home.
She didn’t go looking for a reset. But she found one.
And now? She’s been back at her bar stool every week. Not because she needs to escape life...
But because she found it.
